Who sees what I add?

One question decides who reads what you add: which memory you added it to. Everything else follows from that.

The three cases

Open memory. The whole organization reads it and contributes to it. It is usually the main memory, the one you land in after an invitation.

Restricted memory. Only the people added to it can read its content. Other members know it exists without being able to open it, and can ask its members for access.

Personal memory. Your own drawer. No one else reads it, whatever their role in the organization.

What your role changes

Your role (Member, Admin, Founder) is for running the organization: inviting, managing access, creating memories. It does not open a restricted memory. Even an admin has to be added to read it.

What holds everywhere

  • Every addition is signed. A note, a document, a decision carry the name of the person who added them.
  • The active memory is visible. The memory selector shows where you are writing at the moment you write. It is the right reflex before adding anything sensitive.

When you turn on Web in the composer, Nora searches the Internet for you. What goes to the search engine: the queries drawn from your question, with the names it designates. If you say "we", your company's name goes out; "Inès", her full name if your memory knows it: what you would have typed yourself. Never a decision, a figure, a document or a note from your memory. Under the answer, the "web searches" line unfolds and shows exactly what was sent.

What the web brings back doesn't enter your memory on its own. You keep an item yourself, and it keeps its source and date: Nora will always cite it as "according to that site", never as a fact about your company.

Didn't work?

  • You added something in the wrong place. The item can be archived, and archiving is not deleting. Add it again in the right memory.
  • A memory is closed to you. Open it: the screen offers to ask its members for access.

FAQ

Is my arrival visible?

Yes, as a member of the organization. If you leave a word for the team when you join, it is added to the open memory and signed with your name.

Does web search send my memory to a search engine?

No. Only the queries formed from your question go out, with the names it designates (your company, a contact), never your decisions, figures or documents; and you can read them under the answer. Without the Web chip, Nora doesn't search the Internet at all.

Can anyone read my personal memory?

No. It enters no organization view, neither for an owner nor for an admin.
