Connect your AI

Link Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Windsurf to your memory, and choose what they are allowed to do.

Once connected, your AI reads what your team has already decided before it answers. You no longer need to re-explain who you are or paste your decisions back in. The connection uses the MCP protocol, which Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Windsurf support.

Open your integrations

  1. Open your account menu in the left sidebar, then Integrations.
  2. Under Your AI tools, click your tool's card: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, or Other tool.

The Integrations entry is visible to founders and admins, on the Solo plan, or if an admin gave you the right.

The shortest path: your tool asks for permission, you grant it, it's connected.

  1. In the Automatic connection tab, click Copy next to the server address:

    https://verbasil.com/api/mcp

  2. Paste this address into your tool's connectors. In ChatGPT, custom connectors require turning on developer mode in the connector settings (Plus, Pro, Team and Enterprise plans).

  3. Your tool opens Verbasil's authorization page. Pick the memory under Memory (project).

  4. Tick Suggest additions to the memory (write) if you want the AI to be able to propose additions. Without it, it only reads.

  5. Click Allow.

One connection gives access to one memory. To connect two, connect again.

Manual setup (with a token)

For a tool that can't connect on its own.

  1. In the Manual setup tab, pick the scope: Read-only or Read + Write.
  2. Pick how long the token lasts: 30 days, 90 days, or no expiry.
  3. Click Generate token, and copy it right away: it will never be shown again.
  4. Click Test token to check that it answers.
  5. Follow the instructions shown for your tool: the configuration to copy for Claude Desktop, Cursor or Windsurf, the command for Claude Code.

While you are getting started, prefer read-only.

What the AI can do

ScopeWhat it allows
Readlook up the memory's context, decisions, learnings, recurring patterns, contacts and plans
Writepropose additions: a decision, a learning, a contact, an event

A write coming from an AI never goes straight in: it arrives as a proposal and waits for your approval. An AI that tells you it "saved" something is describing its request, not the result. Details in What can a connected AI do with my memory?.

What to ask it

Start your conversations by asking the AI to load your memory's context, then ask questions that assume the history:

Load my Verbasil memory's context, then tell me what we already decided about our pricing.
Before I follow up with this client, remind me what we said last time.

Cut off access

Under Who has access right now, every connection and every token is listed with a button to disconnect or revoke it. It takes effect immediately.
